Quick overview.

Day 1

We packed up and left the house by 6:00am and we got breakfast at chick fil a. After we ate we drove for a couple of hours and stopped at a couple of interesting places, one being Osceola cheese. It was an intriguing shop that not only sold numerous amounts of cheese but also sold chips, drinks and cookies. After that we drove until we reached our campsite then we spent about an hour and a half setting up camp. Everyone slept well that night and enjoyed our tents.

Day 2

We did a lot of driving most of which was in the pourin rain and intense wind. In the early morning afternoon-ish we stopped and saw the dignity statue which was really cool. After that we did a lot more driving and finally reached the bad lands although we didn't see them that day. We got to go to a super cool place called Wall Drug, which is a store that sells all types of things, it even had a restaurant. After we finished looking around Wall Drug we went to our campsite and went to sleep.

Day 3

After a frigid night we got up and packed our belongings and went touring through the badlands.
It took us hours to get through them all. In a couple of places we got to climb around on the cliffs, which was fun and really dangerous. After we climbed we drove around and saw just how big the badlands were (they are huge.) When we finished with touring the badlands we went to Mt Rushmore. Mt Rushmore was really cool but honestly smaller than I thought it would be.  After that we went to our campsite and we got to meet some really cool people with whom we are now friends.

Day 4

We went to Devils tower, which was really cool. We got to climb up the rocks around the tower which was super fun. After we finished seeing the tower we drove for hours, thankfully the kids all took a long nap, which was much needed. After hours of grasslands that all looked the same we finally reached our days destination, the mountains. The mountains of North Dakota are reall beautiful, they are also kind of rounded. The campsite that we slept at was really pretty and when we woke up there was a buffalo sitting in the site near us. We have seen a lot of interesting wildlife on our trip so far, but we are still looking for the long horned sheep.
